About Shannon Schilling
Shannon Schilling has been a designer of sorts since she was a child. “I can remember rearranging my room at the age of six. My mom and grandmother were astounded that I cared about the furniture configuration at such an early age!” She spent her youth on her family’s farm in southern Arkansas and has fond memories of building castles out of hay bales in the barn. Later in life, she attended the University of Arkansas and took classes in landscape architecture and architecture before finding her passion in the details of interior design.
Today her home is in the Atlanta, Georgia area, and she is the CEO and Sr. Designer of Design Details, a business she founded in the Spring of 2000. “The desire to design and create the space around me is in my blood,” states Shannon. “I wouldn’t be true to myself if I weren’t designing something: a home, an office, or a piece of furniture! For me, the importance is seeing nothing become something amazing that is a perfect reflection of my client.”
